About Us
Hello Fellow Weebs. My wife (Noelia Munoz) and I (David Munoz) just wanted to take the time to introduce ourselves and explain the crazy journey we have been on for the past few years.
I have always been an avid fan of Dragon Ball Z. It's what I grew up on. As a teenager, I would collect the VHS and DVD box sets of Dragon Ball. Little did I know that years later my high school hobby would turn into a legitimate business.
When I got to college I had rediscovered my love for anime when I met my wife. I introduced her to anime and ever since then we have enjoyed and discovered new anime together. Eventually we would leave our small home in the Rio Grande Valley, and settle in Fort Worth in the summer of 2019. This is where we would start the beginning of our collecting journey. I still remember it vividly to this day. I was in a local comic book shop when I saw an OG Dragon Ball figure of Goku carrying a milk crate. I immediately fell in love with it. I never bought a figure before and my friend had joked with me, " Don't do it. It always starts with one." I joked it off but here we are.
I always tell customers that we are collectors selling to collectors. We genuinely get excited every time someone makes a purchase because we remember our journey. Collecting was our passion long before we became vendors.
The next 3 years, we would occasional sell on eBay and Facebook to get rid of our personal items that we were non longer attached to and to make room for more collectibles. We had no intention of selling full time. One day our friends invited us to sell at an anime convention with them. It was then that I realized people had the same interests as us and really liked what we had to offer. Pretty soon after, we went online and learned how to form a business on our own. It was a little overwhelming at first but we figured it out together.
We formed our business in November of 2022 and started our first convention in February of 2023. Our first booth was anything but great. We didn't have the luxury of unlimited capital. We had a very limited stock of items and everything was funded ourselves.
Through the support of our friends, family, and our first few customers, the business has exceeded our expectations. We have much more in store planned and hope you stay with us on our journey as we continue to grow. Without you none of this would be possible. Thanks for reading.
Yes. I still have my first figure.
